As a client-centered counsellor, I value each person’s individuality and tailor my approach to meet their unique needs. I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and take Humanistic approach to provide well-rounded, effective support.

With over 20 years of experience, I have helped individuals navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, emotional and physical abuse, and other traumatic experiences. My goal is to create a safe, confidential, and supportive space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and emotions without judgment.

I work collaboratively with clients, helping them recognize and build on their own strengths as they move toward healing and growth. By combining proven therapeutic tools with compassionate guidance, I empower individuals to overcome fears, achieve their goals, and feel more equipped to live the life they truly want.

During the time I have been working within the mental care field, I have worked with youth and adolescents, as well as adults living with mental health. I have experience working with individuals who have been struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I approach these struggles using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, as well as Psychodynamic Approaches.  I take on a  person-centred focus, where I emphasize creating a non-judgemental, safe and respectful environment that allows each individual to be able to talk about their unique lived experiences in a trusting environment.

My focus is always collaborating with each individual to set their unique individual goals for the life they are striving towards!

Jessica Mercier

Hi! My name is Jessica Mercier. I am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers. I am a spirited and compassionate counsellor who is privileged to support you.

My passions include nature; hiking with my huskies, reading, and strengths-based counselling. I come from a diverse working background including addiction, mental health, abuse, and loss.

Over the past decade I have supported youth, adults and seniors in our community’s navigating crisis, challenges and life changes. I have provided case management, family support and referral services, alongside counselling support.

I work from a trauma informed, biopsychosocial framework, utilizing various methodologies to meet you where you are in your journey. This can include motivational interviewing, mindfulness practice, psychoeducation, human-centred perspective with DBT, CBT methods and narrative healing.

I practice with recognition of our social location in the spaces we land. I believe in a holistic approach to support, acknowledging all aspects of ones being including our connection to ourselves, our social environment and nature. Every small part of us is interconnected; our mind, body and spirit, requiring our attention.

I offer individual and group support, inviting you into a safe and comfortable space to explore. Working together, I hope to enhance your natural strengths, assist you in building news skills, and witness you achieve your goals. I seek to evoke your inner power for healing, learning and growth. I look forward to connecting!

Danielle Beaubien

Hi, I’m Danielle, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).

My approach to psychotherapy is strengths-based, client-centered, trauma-informed, and eclectic — meaning I draw from a variety of evidence-based therapies and theories to create a treatment plan that is uniquely tailored to each client. I primarily integrate approaches rooted in cognitive-behavioural therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), alongside mindfulness-informed practices and neurobiological and body-oriented techniques.

At the heart of my therapeutic presence is authenticity, genuineness, and compassion. I believe that trust, collaboration, and attunement are essential to meaningful therapeutic work, and I strive to build a safe and supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered.

My journey in the mental health field began with volunteer work in a hospital setting supporting older adults living with dementia, answering crisis lines, and assisting women fleeing domestic violence in shelter settings. These experiences deepened my passion for helping individuals navigate life’s most difficult challenges and inspired me to pursue further education in psychotherapy.

I am dedicated to lifelong learning and continually expanding my knowledge of up-to-date treatments and interventions. I approach each client with an awareness of the impact of biopsychosocial influences on mental health and wellbeing, ensuring that therapy is holistic and responsive to individual needs.

I would be honoured to support you on your journey.

I specialize in supporting individuals with:

  • Trauma
  • Sexual Violence
  • Domestic Violence
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Life Transitions
  • Low Self-Worth & Self-Esteem
  • Relationship Difficulties
  • Stress

I only work with clients 16 years and older.
